He is super curious with the sand - he enjoys feeling its texture and not forgetting to put a few handfuls into his mouth...(yucks!) We also taught him how to use the tools (to train his motor skills) and brought him to feel the sea water...
XH simple loves it! He refused to leave the beach even when it's time to go home....
Overall, it's a great experience except for some hipcups - we didn't expect XH will be covered with sand all over his body and hence, didnt' bring any towel... there's also no bathroom to take shower - poor XH has to be showered using cold water outside the toilet which is very windy!!!
Some tips for mummies or daddies planning for a beach outing at ECP (if you have young kids).
Bathing needs: -
(1) A big pail (to fill water from the showering tap outside the toilet)
(2) A small container for scooping water during the shower
(3) A big flask of hot water (unless your child is comfortable with showering in cold water)
(4) Bathing necessities – shower gel, towel, etc.
(5) A clean set of clothings for child and parents (my t-shirt was all covered with sand as I carry XH to the nearest toilet)
For use at the beach: -
(6) UV protection cream for kids
(7) Wet Suit or swim wear
(8) Plenty of water (for drinking and washing hands)
(9) A mat (for resting)

ps: of course you don't need that many items if you don't intend to take a shower - we are a bit kia-su because we know that XH will bound to fall asleep on the journey home so its better that we clean him up thoroughly before we leave...
